our story
Studio West was born out of the desire to create community through movement in the heart of Wicker Park. Tayllor Williams, owner and founder, discovered her love for Pilates and low-impact movement after being diagnosed with an auto-immune disease in 2020.
After noticing the benefits of Pilates in her own life, she decided to pursue her certification and open her own studio space in order to share the benefits she experienced with her community.
Tayllor completed her 500 hour comprehensive Pilates training program through The Lab, created by Chicago Studio Owners Holly Swanson and Jacqueline Brennan. She is also a proud graduate from The University of Tennessee, Go Vols.
When she is not teaching Pilates, she is planning her next trip, eating at a new restaurant, or enjoying a long walk on the 606 with her husband, Colin, and doodle, Rey.
our philosophy
Studio West welcomes all bodies, regardless of ability, to enjoy class at our studio. We believe the benefits of Pilates were made to be enjoyed by everyone.
We offer small group classes in order to provide a more personalized experience catered to the needs of our clients. Each one of our instructors has completed a comprehensive Pilates training program which means class plans are able to be modified for clients of all levels regardless of mobility restrictions.
